Getting Started
Who can use Pulse?
Pulse is for adults 18 years of age or older. You'll be asked to confirm your age and identity details during sign-up.
Which platforms is Pulse available on?
Pulse is currently in private beta on iPhone, launching first in Canada. You can request beta access from the beta sign-up page.
How do I create a profile?
Sign up with your phone number or email, then add photos, prompts, and your interests. A complete profile with a few prompts tends to get better matches than photos alone.
Matching & Messaging
How does matching work?
You'll see profiles of people nearby. If you both express interest, it's a mutual match. Messaging only opens after a match — there are no cold messages from strangers.
Can I unmatch or block someone?
Yes. You can unmatch, block, or report any profile or conversation at any time from the chat or profile screen. Blocking prevents that person from seeing your profile or contacting you again.
Why can't I see someone I matched with anymore?
They may have unmatched you, deleted their account, or been removed for a policy violation. Matches can also expire if there's been no conversation for a while.
Safety & Reporting
What should I do if I feel unsafe or see something inappropriate?
Report the profile, message, or media directly in the app — this notifies our moderation team. If there's immediate danger, contact local emergency services first. See the Safety Center for more.
What happens after I submit a report?
Our team reviews the report against the Community Guidelines and takes action where warranted, ranging from a warning to a permanent ban. We don't share the reporter's identity with the reported user.
How does Pulse handle fake profiles and bots?
We use a mix of automated detection and manual moderation to remove fake and automated accounts. Reporting suspicious profiles helps us improve detection.
Privacy & Your Data
What data does Pulse collect?
Profile details, usage data, and approximate or precise location (with permission) to power matching and safety features. Full detail is in the Privacy Policy.
How do I delete my account and data?
You can delete your account in Settings, or contact support. See Account & Data Deletion for what's removed immediately and what may be retained for legal or safety reasons.
How do I exercise my privacy rights (access, correction, deletion)?
Submit a request through the Privacy Rights Request page. Region-specific rights are detailed in the US State, Canada, and Mexico privacy notices.
Subscription & Billing
How do subscriptions and renewals work?
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can manage or cancel a subscription through your app store account settings. See the Subscription & Refund Policy for full terms.
Can I get a refund?
Refund eligibility depends on your app store's policies and the circumstances of the purchase. See the Subscription & Refund Policy for details, or contact Support.
